A lot has happened since our last update at the beginning of November. Next to the stories we usually share about our trips and distillery visits, we have added book reviews to our revamped site and started sharing tasting notes on a daily basis from the Drinks by the Dram Advent Calendars. On top of those – as if it wasn’t enough, we were challenged to share our views of the new Gordon & MacPhail Speyside Collection, the Diageo Special Releases 2016 came in, and the second release of Bruichladdich’s Three Ten year olds required our utmost attention, all to be found on our personal tasting note blogs WhiskyWorship and LovingWhisky, between many more of our thoughts on whiskies and other spirits.
For now, we are taking a short break for the Christmas holidays at WhiskySpeller, but the best news of today is that for 2017 we are planning to continue with what we are doing; we will keep making distillery visits, tell you where to find them and what they are all about, throw in our view on another book from time to time and keep making our personal notes on many more new and different whisky expressions. At the beginning of the new year, we have planned to return with a bang and tell you some things about a well loved, but fairly unknown and slightly secretive distillery, of which we will – as you know we do – release some pictures on our Facebook page a couple of days before, to wet your appetites.
Now it is only just a couple of days before we can open our Christmas Crackers and wish you, if you celebrate Christmas, a great and festive time, spend it with your loved ones or whichever way you like, pour yourself a good dram and make sure to stay clear from fireworks, because you will need those fingers to lift your glasses next year!
Cheers,
Thomas & Ansgar
